Potty Training?

Just yesterday our little Crew got on his big sister's bike and took it for a spin around the block. Seeing as he's not going to be two until April 25th I was really amazed. Kaylee got this bike for her second birthday and couldn't even reach the pedals, or even steer it at all. It wasn't till she was nearly three that she got the hang of steering and eventually pedaling. So our little Crew seems to be a little more advanced here.

So the question is... do I start to potty-train? Yes, I am going to do it. If you can ride a bike, you can go pee in a toilet! Wish me luck!

Cruise-alicious!

Chris and I finally got to take a much needed vacation on a 7 night cruise to Mexico. We left the kids with Grandma Syphus and they had a blast being able to play with their cousins and Grandma and Grandpa.

We spent the first two and a half days of our journey on board the ship, cruising. During this time there was plenty to do, soak up the warm sun, eat, sit in the hot tub, eat, play tons of bingo, eat some more, and not to mention... penny slots!!

There was a formal night the second night aboard ship, which meant we got to dress up in fancy outfits and eat a fancy dinner and get our pictures taken! Chris was excited cause it was like he was taking me to prom... only we didn't really do any dancing.

The first stop we made was in Puerto Villarta, Mexico. We took a Tropical Jungle Tour where we got to see some interesting things. We hiked through the jungle and crossed this cold river in some spots and learned a lot about the different types of trees and plants and animals that were there. After that we ate some lunch at this little dive located in the jungle (strictly for tourists), where there was no electricity, and no running water (a lady stood in the bathroom and after you were done she would throw a bucket of water in the toilet to make it flush, then she would take another bucket and pour it over your hands so you could wash them). Needless to say, we didn't order anything too extravagant, just some chips and guacamole...yum!

After the jungle tour Chris and I made our way back to town where we found the beach. I bravely went where only those on America's Funniest Home Video goes and attempted PARA SAILING! Luckily everything went well, and it was an amazing experience. Great views from way up high!

Our second stop was in Mazatlan, Mexico. We wanted to visit this Deer Preserve Island that was inhabited, so we found a guy to take us there on his Catamaran. He dropped us off and we explored. We did a little snorkeling in some really cold water, we saw a couple of fish and a lot of seaweed. While I was laying out of the beach getting some sun, Chris went off exploring and found a whole bunch of hermit crabs eating a dead fish, he brought them back to show me...yuck! We did a little shopping and ate some lunch at a little restaurant that had a parrot out front, it wouldn't stop squawking!

Our final stop was in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This place was probably mine and Chris's favorite. We took a glass bottom boat tour of the Los Arcos. We were dropped off on Lover's Beach and we walked across to the other side of the beach which was called Divorce Beach! Totally different on both sides! Lovers Beach had calm waters, and Divorce Beach had HUGE crashing waves. Funny huh? We also did snorkeling here and had much better luck, although the water was even more frigid! There were all sorts of sea creatures in the waters here, kind of creepy to be swimming with them all!

Here we also did a little shopping and a little eating, and then sadly boarded the boat for the last time. Because Cabo's port was too small we had to doc our boat in the middle of the bay and little tenders took us to shore and back.

The last day of our cruise was spent on the boat and it was a rocky trip back. Chris and I tried to play Scrabble by this little window in the "Sun Garden" but we gave up mid game because we both started to feel sea-sick!

I am so glad that we took this trip, and I am already thinking about our next!

Chris turns 30!

On Sunday Chris turned 30 years old. We were driving to Utah from Long Beach and Chris was speeding(of course), well he got pulled over and got a ticket! The cop didn't seem to care for the fact that it was his birthday! But we did however get to spend the rest of the evening in Utah with family. I think he had a great birthday.
