IKEA

My sister-in-law, Erin, and I took a little trip to IKEA today. We took her awesome van and loaded up all the kiddies. It's a pretty far drive from where I live. The kids had a blast being in the car together. They made so much noise!

We ate lunch there and they have this cute little cafeteria. It was actually pretty good food! Alot better than my days of school lunches! For the first time Crew sat in a high chair and he ate lunch with us! He loved it... he looked like such a big kid! Brady and Kaylee sat in the kids area that was full of tables and chairs just their size, not to mention toys all around and Curious George playing on a DVD player! Lucky!

I did get some pretty cool stuff while I was there. I ended up with some stuff for Crew's crib, as well as the cool rug that Becca inspired me to get. I really wanted to redo the kid's room and spread the toys into the guest room, but with a little cleaning and organization I managed to make everything fit into just their room and it seems so much cleaner now too! If only Kaylee would keep it that way!

Family Reunion Campout

This past weekend the whole Syphus family (minus Alan because he had to work) went camping on the North Timp Point of the Grand Canyon. It was incredible! Spencer just got home from his mission so we went to celebrate his return. The weather was very nice. Cold in the mornings and night but the day weather couldn't have been better! We did so much stuff. The first night we got there we just set up and ate dinner, then went to the look out point less than a mile away from camp site and watched the sunset. It was beautiful! We forgot to bring our camera to that unfortunately.

These are the creators of the Syphus Family. Doug and Wendy. Aren't they cute?

The un-married kids of the family... We're so glad you're back Spencer! It was like you weren't even gone... still the same old "Unky Spunky!"

Kaylee really enjoyed riding the 4 wheeler with dad and me. Unfortunately when we went for our ride I got lost with Amanda and Kaylee aboard. We ran through some mud and got so dirty. We finally made it back to camp after two unsuccessful attempts to find the right way.

Laura and Mr. Cooper, Tasha and Mr. Cash, and Ben and Mr. Cash

Cohen and Kaylee after they took an awesome ride on the rope swing that Jesse put up.

Doug and I took a bike ride on the Rainbow Rim Trail. It went up and down canyons and along side the rim of the Grand Canyon. It was pretty intense, but it was kind of fun. We only did 5 miles of the 14 because everyone else was just waiting on us to go see Point Sublime.

This was at Point Sublime. It took us two hours on a bumpy road. It was only 25 miles away from camp, and the trip made me car sick. But once we got to the look-out it was all worth it! Chris is such a poser, but he's totally cute!

Me and Crew standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon. It was super windy and I couldn't get my hair out of my face to get my picture taken. It was beautiful and so breath-taking. You could even see the Colorado River from where we were.

Isn't he just so cute!?

Kokopelli Triathlon

Well, the Triathlon was a wash-out. Literally. It poured and so they ended up cancelling the whole event. I did however mangae to squeeze in my swim before they called the race. They actually did the timing for the swim and it was my best time yet! 11 minutes and 44 seconds. I came in first for my age group... and 6th overall for the womens part... 7th if you include the men... haha... ok, the men didn't get to swim because they cancelled the race before they were sent off, but it was a young kid that was in our heat. Anywho- it was kind of cool to see my time and dissapointing at the same time because I knew I was going to be awesome this race and my swim proves it!

This is a pic of me getting out of the water. This was before I knew the race was over... I found out shortly after that. I think Annie has some more pictures of Dave and I before the race started, but she didn't feel too good so she headed home shortly after we got there. Anyways, it was a neat experience and one that I wont forget anytime soon. And yes, next year I'll be there... hopefully doing the full Olympic Tri and not just the Short one.

A Princess Birthday Party

This was an awesome birthday party for Kaylee. She invited family and a few friends over. The kids played in the backyard while we BBQ'd some chicken and hot dogs. Is it just me or does the sky in the background of the picture look awesome or what?

Chris invited one of his co-workers who also has a 3 year old girl named Danessa. Brady was there and so was Alina. Heather and Mark with Trent and Ethan too. Grandma and Grandpa Toliver and also Kaylee's favorite neighbors... Chad and Lisa! Not to mention her favorite Great Aunt Nancy!

She got so many cute presents! Tons of dress-up clothes and pretty princess accessories. Also two princess movies!

Here she is blowing out her candles.

And enjoying her Cinderella cake with some Rockey Road ice cream!
