You leave 'em alone for 5 minutes...

I ran to take a quick shower before work to come out and find Kaylee and Crew taking over my office!

Same ol', Same ol'

We've been staying busy with our normal summer routine getting under-way. We go swimming very often, early morning park visits, kid Movies at the movie theater once a week, play dates, we just started doing t-ball with some other neighborhood kids, and I guess soccer too!

Crew is our little monkey boy, he climbs on everything, uses his walker to get around everywhere (he has taken a few steps on his own recently, but still very nervous about that). He has this car that Santa got him last year and he sits on it and pushes himself around the house. He even steers it! We think he's alot like Chris because he's too lazy to walk and would rather be pushed (it's Chris' dream to own a wheel-chair).

Kaylee is doing great, she is so involved in everything now! (swimming, t-ball, and starting next week soccer!) Her tooth that she got fixed last month went bad, and the dentist ended up having to pull it. I told her that a new tooth will come in where the old one was (in a few years obviously), and everyday she keeps telling me that the new tooth isn't there yet... I don't know how long that will last!

Chris got home from Guatemala on Memorial Day. He had such a great time. He took alot of pictures, but he said that he wants to be the one to blog about it, so I'll leave that up to him. He's back to working, and keeping busy with the kids and Xbox. Not to mention the occasional drooling over all the scopes he's looking at for his new gun! I swear, this never ends!

I'm keeping busy too, I just wrapped up my last session of swim lessons. *Not a big response this summer, maybe next year!* I bought a new car last week and it's amazing! It even has air conditioning in it! I must admit though, I miss driving the buick at times with it's comfortable seats and smooth cushion-y ride. My boss started doing Weight Watchers, and I told her I would do it with her too. We started on Monday and so far so good! I really want to get into shape for the Triathlon in September. (Becca you better be doing it with me! :o) *)

Heating up...

It's officially summer! Temp. today is reaching 108! To make matters worse, the ol' Buick doesn't have air conditioning! Looks like I'm stuck in the house yet again. We have been searching for another vehicle to replace the Buick, but it is such a tedious task that I find myself just giving up. Wish me luck that I will find something soon! If not, you know where you can find me!

Updates!

I just thought I'd share with you guys a few things we've been up to the past few weeks. We celebrated Crew's birthday a week after the actual day, and that was really fun. We had a nice BBQ at my brother's house, opened presents, ate cake, and then played PICTIONARY! That game is the bomb! Crew enjoyed getting several cars, along with the Cars movie! He's a very spoiled little man. He liked to look at the cake, but eating it was a different story, he doesn't like sweets!

The weekend after that we went to the Lake with our neighbors. They rented some jet ski's and we camped out over night and rode all morning long! It was such a blast! One time Chris and I were going to drive tandem and Kaylee we crying cause she really wanted to go with us so we let her ride between us. I took it easy at first, but started being a little more daring, I took a turn too sharp and accelerated too fast and SPLASH! We tipped over and fell into the lake! Luckily we were all wearing our life jackets and we jumped back on and Chris took over the controls from there! It was a good time!

So I have been teaching swim lessons for the past two weeks at the pool by our house. It's been great cause we go swimming afterwards and Kaylee loves it! I also will take Crew, and he likes to go thru the sprinklers that they have.

Last but not least, I finally finished my headboard! I made a headboard for our bed from scratch! It's taken me almost a month since we've boughten the wood, but I finished it today! Chris needs to help me set it up in the room, but I thought I'd share a picture of what it looks like now. I made Kaylee lay on the floor next to it so you could get an idea of how big it is!

Tonight at work I was cleaning a table when a gentleman I had just finished serving came up to me and personally complimented me on my service. He said, "I just wanted to let you know, that we had exceptional service, Thank you!" He also asked me what my name was, I thanked him, and he left. A few minutes later my manager (not just one of the five managers, but the actual owner/manager) came up to me and said, "You just got big compliments from a customer, he wanted to let me know how phenominal you were. You get a free dinner tonight!" Needless to say for the rest of the night I felt like I was on cloud nine! It's great to hear stuff like that when you're in this business!
