Swim, Bike, Run

Well, I did it again! I finished my 5th Triathlon. This time the weather was great, the water was cold, and I was ready! Chris came along to take pictures and be my little cheering section. I crushed my best time by 10 min! And although I did great, I still feel like I could do better. So I am going to train harder for the next time. I even want to start doing these triathlons more frequently too.

You can see my head in the middle of the crowd. (Probably the only one looking at the camera)Chris got some good video of me on my bike, but not any good close ups of me riding. I got this one off the website from the company that took photos.

And here I am finishing! I ended up finishing in 10th for my age group, 96th for my gender, and 265th overall.
I finished with a best time of 1:47:44.8!

Kaylee's Birthday

Since we were in Utah on Kaylee's birthday we celebrated it with Chris' side of the family. We took family photos that night and afterward we all went to this fun splash park and ate pizza and cake. She had a great time with her cousins.

2nd Amendment

Last night Chris and I got a babysitter and went on a shooting date! Chris is really big into guns right now, and after last night, I think they are pretty awesome! We drove out to Lake Pleasant and did a little shooting with the pistols.

The ground was covered in shells! It was like a beach of bullet shells, and debris!

Chris is crazy good!
After that, we drove over to the Ben Avery shooting range cause Chris wanted to shoot his riffle. He let me shoot the riffle too.

I did pretty well! Check out my target!

It's awesome with the scope that he has on it. Then when we were leaving the range Chris saw this huge tarantula walking across the road! We stopped and took a few pics, I've never seen one in the wild before!

Pupcakes

Kaylee's birthday is tomorrow, but since we are going to be traveling to Utah so I can compete in a triathlon on Saturday ::breathe:: we made cupcakes, or pupcakes (like Kaylee calls them) to bring to her school on Wednesday. I didn't wimp out and go with a boxed cake mix...being inspired by my lovely girlfriends who are amazing bakers, I made them from scratch! I also made the icing! Kaylee helped crack the eggs, stir the batter, lick the spoons, and of course pour on the sprinkles! And oh yes, they were yummy!

Chair Covers...

I have been putting my crafty-ness to the test. I made chair pad covers for my new table's chairs. This will prevent quick stains, and I got an awesome fabric that is also reversible! I love it! My curtains will be next, I found a way cute matching fabric for those too!

Seriously?

Back in 2006 Chris and I bought our truck from this guy named Reggie. We went into his little office space to do some paper work and when he left his office we noticed that his full name was Reginald Poindexter! We were laughing so hard, we were red when he came back into the office and there were tears coming out of my eyes! We tryed to play it cool, but when he left again I had to snap a picture of his little plaque cause I thought no one would believe me! But seriously, who names their kid like this?

Kaylee's a Pre-Schooler!

The day finally came! Kaylee went to her first day of Pre-School today and she loved it! She was so excited this morning when she was getting ready. I took her outside for the traditional "first day of school" photos, and I also tried to take pictures of her going into her class... my battery died once we got inside though :o(
