Crew Beebe Syphus

The morning started off early... 3:30am to be exact. We got to the hospital and they set everything up as far as IV and blood testing and what not. Then at around 4:30 in the morning the nurse started me on my first set of gel to get my cervix nice and ready for delivery. I waited for an hour and then the nurse had me walk for an hour, and an hour after that the nurse came back in to check on my status. I started contracting and didn't need anymore gel. So at around 7 in the morning my doctor came in and broke my water. Ask Chris.. he thinks it was gross, I didn't really see anything.. After the water broke my doctor had to go deliver a baby c-section, so I had to wait until 9 in the morning to get my epidural. I finally got my epidural and I was on my way. They started pitocine shortly after and my contractions started to get harder (I didn't feel anything of course!). Want to know what Chris was doing this whole time?? Sleeping right next to me like normal! He was a good support though, I must admit he was always asking if I needed anything or how I was feeling, so that was nice. Back to the baby though- So from the time I got the epidural (around 9 am) till around 2 pm, the day was pretty uneventful. Only once did I throw up during the labor... much better that the last time with Kaylee. Wendy can attest to that! Towards that end according the monitor my contractions started to get really small. I thought it was because I had pushed my epidural button a whole bunch because I started to feel pain on my right side of my abdoman. So I figured that the contractions had got slower. I was like, Oh great! Now that have to up the petocine again and we have to start all over! When the nurse came in I told her what I thought, and she was like, well let me check to see how far along you are. And wouldn't you know it! I was at a 10! She said that when the baby gets lower the monitor doesn't pick up on the contractions as much. So she phoned for the doctor and he was there in no time. Three pushes later and there was Crew! The doctor handed the scissors to Chris to cut the cord and Chris was like, "No way!" So he handed them to my mom and my mom cut the cord! Here he is...

Project Landscape

I'm sure it's not what's on everyone elses list of exciting news, but you know when you start a project from scratch you tend to be particularly proud of your work. Well, Chris and I are extremely happy at the job we have done on our landscaping. Not only did we save tons of money by doing the project 100% ourselves, but we also made it completely custom. We also learned ALOT along the way.. LOL. Here are a few pics of our progress on the yard.. The first picture is far into the process already. Here we are laying our sprinkler line for the grass. As you can see we have already planted our trees (which are dead in this picture thanks to the Frost damage we had). Also Chris has already extended our patio and made an additional patio on the bottom right hand corner of the photo where our fountain is going to go. We are not 100% done with the backyard yet, we still have to put the fountain in the base and seal it up, run electric to it and viola! We'll be done with our little paradise. Here is a pic of Kaylee in our front yard with the custom wall Chris made and our trees in already.. thanks to Alan's hard work as well, these huge palm trees were put in our front yard. Also, we owe alot to our neighbor Chad for helping almost every time we were outside. The front yard is done completely and we couldn't be happier. We decided to go with a tropical theme, and the rock that we put into the front yard is so small it looks like sand from a distance. Our neighbors quickly called it the "Tropical Paradise." And that makes us so happy that others appreciate our hard work. (Seeing as they were probably sick of us working on it for so long.. it took almost 4 months.. but hey.. it's nice!) One of our neighbors liked it so much he is copying our wall that we built, and a few of our other ideas. It makes you feel good to know that you inspire people with your hard work. Well, here is a picture of the front yard finished.. it's bright outside so it might be hard to see all the details. Here is a picture of what the backyard looks like right now too..

As you can see we ended up replacing almost all of our trees that died during the frost damage. Here is a close up of the patio where we are not done building the fountain base.. but it will be done shortly.. We are extremely excited for everyone to come over and enjoy the final product. We are going to have a celebratory BBQ for the big occasion. Another cool thing.. we started our own little garden. We have three tomatoe plants and they are growing so fast! Here's some pictures..

The final day is in sight!

So here is the new news! I am currently dialated to 1 cm. My doctor is going to enduce me on April 25th, 2007. This is 10 days earlier than my expected due date. This is wonderful! It's nice to be able to plan on that date and not have to stress about it being unexpected and at any time! So we are all really excited here and can't wait for Crew to arrive. I am having a baby shower this Saturday and hopefully friends and family will be able to make it... it should be a great evening! My brother Bret, his wife Erin, and their two kids Brady and Alina are moving back from England and they will be here tomorrow! I can not wait to see them all. I'll post pictures of the shower and get-together later.

Another day closer...

The days are going by faster and faster and soon we'll have a new baby here! I got to put the new crib together, here's a picture of what it looks like.

It took me awhile to put it all together because at first I put it together backwards.. lol.. but I finally got it right!

Also thanks to my Grandma and my Aunt Nancy we will have an awesome new stroller for when the baby comes as well.. here's what that looks like! It's pretty sweet because Kaylee will be able to sit or stand on the back and the front can hold an infants car seat or just be a regular stroller seat for when he gets a little older. Nice and handy for the two of them!
It looks like I'm going to be staying at home for good once the baby gets here because daycare is just way too expensive. Looks like it'll be about $353.00 a week.. ya, that's right A WEEK!! That's just about what I make now anyways... so it's just not worth it to have them in daycare! But the countdown is on for when the baby comes. I have a doctor's appointment for Wednesday and I'll find out if I am progressing at all.. I'll inform everyone I'm sure! hehe..

On the final stretch!

Well, there are a few things that are almost complete... after several months of work and sweat we are finally done with the landscaping in the front yard! Here is a picture of Kaylee in the front yard shortly before the completion.. so cute! And soon to follow completion is the backyard. We shoveled rock all last Saturday and finally finished the front yard, and we had to replant some trees in the backyard due to frost damage. Next step.. getting the rest of the rock into the backyard.. then the grass.. and finally the setup of the beautiful fountain! YAY! Looks like it will all be done before the completion of baby CREW! Yes, that's right... he is almost here and that makes all of us very happy.. especially me because I am so ready to be done!

My mom and sister are throwing me another baby shower for Crew on April 14th. I went and registered at Target for some baby essentials. I was blessed by all of our friends and family by them donating alot of hand-me-down clothes.. so basically I am stocked up on clothes till the kid is 1 year old! Here is the link to Target if you want to check out what I registered for. Just search under my name. http://www.target.com. Well, I gotta get some stuff done around the house, you know if I don't do it.. it wont get done! Oh.. one more thing, my sister got a new puppy.. adorable! her name is Vegas.. how cute is she!!!???
