I made bread!

I am so excited! I learned how to make bread! I even ground my own wheat to make whole wheat bread! I mostly watched how to make the bread, but I did get to form the loaf before it was set to rise and then bake. We learned how to make the bread with a bread machine and also with a bosch. The bread machine makes one loaf at a time, and the bosch makes 5! So I ended up being able to take home two loaves! This is a picture of my hand grinder on the right and Lynsee's electric bosch grinder on the left... her's works a little faster than mine...
I also got to spend time with Kara, who I didn't really know that well before-hand... she's really cool! Here's a picture of Kara and Crystalynn(the one who is teaching us) looking at the loaf in the bread machine.
Oh, and a special thanks to Wendy (my mother-in-law) who gave me my own hand wheat grinder(a long time ago), now I can get some muscles and make bread at the same time! The grinder is awesome, and it works great! And to top it off, the bread is soooo yummy! I have already eaten my fare share of sandwhiches for the rest of the week!

I've been tagged too!

10 years ago- Sadly, I was only 13 years old, and in middle school. My most akward years of my life... I try to forget those times.

5 things on my list to do today- I need to finish folding the laundry (it's the worst things about clothes), vacuum, clean the bathrooms (Friday's are cleaning days here), get a gift for Emily's baby shower, and make dinner.

Snacks I enjoy- I really like chips and salsa(any time of the day). I love cold crisp apples, and little chocolate candies(the little ones, so I don't feel so bad eating alot of them).

What I would do if I were suddenly a billionare- I actually think about this at least once a day! LOL, I am constantly entering into the Publisher's Clearing House, and though my odds of winning are like 1 out of 500,000,000 I still daydream of what it would be like to win. I would first and foremost, buy myself a car! Of course I would pay tithing on it (can't risk not), I would save and invest. I'm not too extravagent, so I think I would stay where I am, and just live the low life, and not let it go to my head.

3 of my bad habits- I bite my cheek alot, I have short term memory loss, I tend to have "little-sister syndrome"

5 places I have lived-
1. Anaheim, California
2. Glendale, Arizona
3. Houston, Texas
4. St. George, Utah
5. Tolleson, Arizona

5 jobs that I have had- only 5 huh? Well, my favorite and most random 5 are...
1. Lifegaurd (this was my first and longest job)
2. Coldstone Creamery (professional ice cream maker!)
3. JC Penney's (in the home department)
4. Door-to-Door Saleswoman (I sold random junk...and it really was junk!)
5. Discover Card (telemarketing...actually one of my favorite jobs)

5 things people don't know about me- I think everyone knows everything about me... but... I swam competitively for 11 years of my life, I am obsessive compulsive about organization, I went cross-eyed when I was three, and have worn glass/contacts ever since, I used to play the tuba/suzaphone in middle and high school( embarassing...I know!), I joined my 5th grade choir so I could go to the fair with them... only they didn't go that year! What a waste!

I will tag- Ali, Laura, Heidi, and Marta

White Trash Family...

I was just looking through some old photos, and found a few that sort of jumped out at me.... First, Chris with a mullet, still looking pretty sexy. Business in the front, and all party in the back. Second, Kaylee slamming down what appears to be a Mountain Dew. Now if these aren't white trash photos, I don't know what is. Does anyone else have pictures like that?

Also, I saw a picture of Kaylee when she was only 9 months old. I couldn't believe how similar her and Crew look! See if you can tell the difference!

And last, but not least... I love roses, and I finally got another rose bush at this house. This was one of the first roses that bloomed. It's sooo pretty! And it's right in the front yard for everyone to see!

Who Cares (that's a statement, not a question)

Well, I am commondeering Shawn's blog because I saw how lame her blogging is. Where do bloggers come off thinking that their lives are sooooo interesting, that everyone else just has to know about it? Have you guys seen the new American Gladiator? Well, do you think calling someone "American Gladiator thighs" is a compliment? Just asking...

At work we just starting a new job. It's the new Spring Training Facility for the Cleveland Indians. Here are a couple of picture of the clubhouse building. There will be a total of seven full sized baseball fields. So this is where I'll be working for the next year.

Question for Alan: I'm thinking about attempting a home surgury. There is a protruding mole that needs to be amputated. I'm thinking about sterilizing a pair of finger nail clippers, and sneaking up on it in the night. Also what techniques should I use to minimize scaring?

Ta-Da!

Kaylee got an art easle for Christmas from Grandma, (I got one too, but that will be in another post) and she just loves to draw pictures when I'm painting. The funniest thing, is that her pictures make absolutely no sense, but she will tell you what every little scribble on the paper is. This was actually one of her best drawings. As she described it- The purple person in the middle is Kaylee with her pajamas on, she's standing in grass, and there are 8 birds flying around her. There is a sun, and green clouds. Oh, and shortly after I took this picture, she drew herself peeing on the floor. (The best part is when I asked her what the yellow was, she said "I go pee pee." HAHA!)

And Crew is just so talented! He is already saying things like "da da" "ma ma" and "ta ta"!!! I'm going to try and get him to say "ta da" next! He even gave up eating baby food! And the worst part of that is- he doesn't even have any teeth yet! I don't remember Kaylee stopping eating baby food this early. I don't really know what to feed the kid! Does anyone have any suggesstions?
Oh, and Happy Valentines Day everyone! I had such a great day! I woke up and made Kaylee and me french toast! Then we made oatmeal craisin cookies for the Valentine's Day Party we went to at the park. (We had to bring a snack that had some red or pink in it, so instead of raisins, I made them with Craisins! I'm so clever!!) We went to the party and the kids played and exchanged cards, and made some neat crafts- Great idea Stephanie! I forgot to bring my camera unfortunately! Then later in the night when Chris got home we made a romantic dinner with steak and king crab legs. Then, since everyone here is sick, they all fell asleep around 7:30! Hope everyone else's day/night was good!

Down on Luck

It seems that in desperate times we don't always know who to turn to. When you think you have a good friend they always seem to turn out to be someone different. All I know is that I always have one person who will listen to my side, who will love me regardless of my flaws. Someone that I can turn to wherever I am, whenever I need them. When I am feeling down on my luck, or singled out by my peers, I know I can always turn to my Heavenly Father. The love he gives me is unconditional, unjudging, pure, kind, and comforting. Sometimes I forget how wonderful it is to feel this love. So anyone out there that feels like the world is out to get you, that your so-called friends just aren't what they seem, and you're down on your luck, just remember that the Lord will always be there for you no matter what. All you need to do is pray, and you will find comfort.
