An Unexpected Vacation!

Kaylee, Crew and I drove up to St. George two Fridays ago to see Grandma Syphus turn 50. We surprised her because she didn't know that we were going to be there. Unfortunately Chris couldn't make it due to work, but we all missed him. All the grandkids were there and they are all soo darn adorable! After spending a few days in St. George we decided it would be fun to travel north to Wellsville to visit Great Grandma Stuart.
Here we are on the road trip, just stopped for a bite to eat! Kaylee and Crew are awesome travelers. Everyone thinks I'm so brave for traveling that far alone, but it was cake! They're awesome kids!

Crew with Great Great Grandpa; Crew with Great Grandpa; Crew with Great Grandma

You can tell everyone wanted a little peice of that stud muffin! Kaylee also had a great time. We went to several parks, the zoo, and she loved swinging on the old swing in Great Great Grandpa's backyard (the one I used to swing on when I was a kid)!

Towards the end of our trip to Wellsville we went to the Zoo! It wasn't a big zoo, but it was just big enough for Kaylee and Crew! We had a blast looking at all the interesting birds and animals.

Then of course there are always the family pictures. We had four out of the five generations there for the picture... just missing my mom!

All in all, this was a great trip and I can't wait to do it again soon!

Vampires and Romance

Ok, Becca conviced me to read this book, and I was sceptical at first. Mostly because I never really have the patience to read books anymore... But this was the best book! Now I am deep into the second book "New Moon" and I love it too! I feel so involved with the characters. Anyone who is reading this blog.. I highly recommend going out and getting this book! Then the second and from what Becca says, the third as well!

Back to School Swap

Well, I signed up to do this swap (you are randomly paired up with someone you don't know and are supposed to send them three things that you love) and the theme is "back to school." Meaning, that I am to send my partner (Casey) three things I can't live without while I do my "crafts." Sounds easy... but there are so many things that I can't live without! And I can't send my whole office... so I am stuck with sending a few of my favorites. I can't give it away yet, but once I know she has gotten my package then I'll post some pictures of the cool stuff I sent.

Also, my computer is not letting me upload my pictures from my last vacation so I will try again tomorrow and let everyone know how that went.

The "N" word

Here is a sweet plate of Nachos. This is how Alaska does nachos, besides behemoth salmon, they also are North Americas # 1 producer of Huge plates of nachos.

Well we went camping in flagstaff this weekend to the cinders. It was really fun Kaylee and Crew had fun, and Chris and I got in a lot of riding. Mostly Chris, because he rode for 5 or 6 hours during the day, and then went back out at night for another few hours, here are some pictures of the cinders.

Memory Lane...

Yes, at one time that skinny girl on the right was me. I was just browsing thru some old photos and came across this. This was before Chris and I were married and that is Annie, Spencer, Chris and Me at Sand Hallow. It's my goal to look like that again one day! I still need to lose about another 15 pounds and have some major toning and work to do... but hopefully it's not that far away! Here is a picture of me right after graduating High School... I love my hair... If only I can get it to look like that again! This is my family... Bret, Heather, Dad, and Mom. All those Gold ropes around my neck represent a semester of straight A's... yeah.. seeing as my brother and sister graduated before me, they had a few extra ones that I went ahead and threw around my neck for good measure..hehe..

So here I am at the Grand Canyon... my first time ever! This was before Chris and I were married too. We went camping with Ben. We were all getting ready to go out biking and I was just riding around the camp site and I tried to do this little jump and wham! I popped my tire and ate dirt! LOL... so I stayed back at camp for the rest of the trip and just waited till the boys got done riding.
What a bust.. but great views!

And who can forget their Wedding Day! Everyone looks great on their Wedding Day! This was one of the best days of my life! My bestfriend Melissa took my pictures... she's a great photographer. She suggested that she should use her dad's brand new digital camera (digital was still kind of new at this time), and I was skeptical. I told her NO! lol...not that dramatic... but yes, I did tell her that I would prefer the good old 35 millimeter. She agreed because of course... it was my wedding(bride snobby)... But man I wish I went with what she suggested. Her camera was not working to it's top potential and more than half of the pictures she took didn't turn out right. It's okay though... I still have great memories!

Simply Adorable!

I don't want to brag, but I feel like my scrapbooking techniques are really starting to improve. I am learning alot and having a great time! Here is my latest creation!

This is a new book that TLC sells. I love it!

Chris' Trip to Alaska

Well, Chris got back from Alaska and brought tons of fish, stories, and dirty clothes home. It sounded like he had a great time. All he talks about now is how he wants to move to Alaska. I keep trying to remind him that he visited in the Summer, and that the Winter would be horrible. I think I'll be hearing stories for a long time... Here are some cool pictures.
