Coincidence or Destiny?

The other day I was driving in the car and thinking about the baby I am having in December. It got me thinking about my mom, then my grandma and all of a sudden it hit me, there is something strange going on here! Let me explain...

When my Grandma was 25 years old she had her 3rd child, which was a girl.

That girl, who is my Mom, was 25 years old when she had her 3rd child, which was a girl.

That girl, me, is now 25 and having my 3rd child...which is a girl!

I can't wait to have this girl and get a picture of the 4 generations that make up this crazy situation! That will definitely be one for the scrap book!

Ok...Tagged AGAIN!

4th and 4th

1. Go to your picture files on your computer

2. Go to the 4th folder

3. Go to the 4th picture in the 4th folder

4. Post it and tell what you remember about that picture.

I found this picture in the fourth position in the fourth folder. This was Kaylee for Halloween when she had just turned two. She was a pirate! Super cute! I was pregnant with Crew at the time, and we were at the neighbors house having our annual Halloween Party! It was the first of many!

I will tag: Jobey, Laura, Michelle, and Suzee!

Winner Winner!

Last night I was driving home from Costco, and I noticed on my car radio (where the artist and song are usually displayed) it looked like this:
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PHOOSON TIX @ 5:35!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I looked at the clock and it was 5:35! *For those of you that don't know, Phooson is a concert that this radio station hold every year and it has tons of sweet artists at it.*
So I got my cell phone out and thought, "What the heck, I'll give it a try."
It was busy.... darn! So I hung up and tried just one more time.... ring!!
Guess who was caller 104, and won two tickets to PHOOSON!?!?!
Yes, that's right, it was me! I even got to listen to myself on the radio... I sounded so dumb! But this was the first time I've ever won anything, so I was really excited and shocked at the same time!

My little Quirks

Jamie tagged me, and I guess I have to do this. It's taken me some time to think of little quirks about me, so here goes...

Rules; 1 Link the person who tagged you. 2 Mention the rules on your blog. 3 Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours. 4 Tag 6 other bloggers by linking them.

1. Whenever I am at work and I have to sweep the floor, or when I am at home vacuuming or mopping, I put my tongue to the roof of my mouth. I have no idea why, it just happens.

2. When I am drying my hair, straightening it, or even just putting on my makeup, I stand on the outer edges of my feet. I think this is inherited cause my mom does the same thing.

3. In the mornings when I wake up and get out of bed, my feet feel like they are "asleep", and I walk like Frankenstein (according to Chris), until I start to get feeling back in them again.

4. I am obsessed about things being in their "place." My house doesn't necessarily have to be spotless, but everything has a place, and I could tell you where anything in my house is. Even if it's in a box packed away for a long time, I'll remember.

5. I have a really good short term memory. I don't take down orders at work, and I don't take down direction when I'm given them. I visualize what is being told to me and I'll remember it. I can even remember phone numbers for years if I just dial it at least twice.

6. When I go running, my right hand is relaxed and my left hand is squeezed into a tiny fist. I have tried to relax it, but it just goes back into a tiny fist...weird!

Alrighty that's it. Maybe everyone already knew all of that, but oh well. I tag: whoever wants to be tagged! Have fun!

Please tip your server...

Well, I officially started serving tonight. It is harder than it looks believe it or not. I am still technically training, but I got a good taste of what it's like to be on your own on the floor serving. It was non-stop, and I found myself by the end of the night wanting to sit down with the customers and have a drink and some tostada chips with salsa! The hardest part so far is knowing what goes in the alcoholic beverages, and what goes on top of them as well (lime, orange, cherry, etc.) The other servers say it will come to me eventually though.

Weeds!

So Chris and I just spent two hours at our rental property picking enough weeds to fill a whole trash can (the one that goes on the street). And to top it off, that was just the front yard! We're going to let the tenant take care of the back. Does anyone know what to do to make it so the weeds don't come back? Or at least something easier than picking them all? Prefferably something that is not going to make us go broke either... any advice out there?

I've been tagged too!

10 years ago- Sadly, I was only 13 years old, and in middle school. My most akward years of my life... I try to forget those times.

5 things on my list to do today- I need to finish folding the laundry (it's the worst things about clothes), vacuum, clean the bathrooms (Friday's are cleaning days here), get a gift for Emily's baby shower, and make dinner.

Snacks I enjoy- I really like chips and salsa(any time of the day). I love cold crisp apples, and little chocolate candies(the little ones, so I don't feel so bad eating alot of them).

What I would do if I were suddenly a billionare- I actually think about this at least once a day! LOL, I am constantly entering into the Publisher's Clearing House, and though my odds of winning are like 1 out of 500,000,000 I still daydream of what it would be like to win. I would first and foremost, buy myself a car! Of course I would pay tithing on it (can't risk not), I would save and invest. I'm not too extravagent, so I think I would stay where I am, and just live the low life, and not let it go to my head.

3 of my bad habits- I bite my cheek alot, I have short term memory loss, I tend to have "little-sister syndrome"

5 places I have lived-
1. Anaheim, California
2. Glendale, Arizona
3. Houston, Texas
4. St. George, Utah
5. Tolleson, Arizona

5 jobs that I have had- only 5 huh? Well, my favorite and most random 5 are...
1. Lifegaurd (this was my first and longest job)
2. Coldstone Creamery (professional ice cream maker!)
3. JC Penney's (in the home department)
4. Door-to-Door Saleswoman (I sold random junk...and it really was junk!)
5. Discover Card (telemarketing...actually one of my favorite jobs)

5 things people don't know about me- I think everyone knows everything about me... but... I swam competitively for 11 years of my life, I am obsessive compulsive about organization, I went cross-eyed when I was three, and have worn glass/contacts ever since, I used to play the tuba/suzaphone in middle and high school( embarassing...I know!), I joined my 5th grade choir so I could go to the fair with them... only they didn't go that year! What a waste!

I will tag- Ali, Laura, Heidi, and Marta

White Trash Family...

I was just looking through some old photos, and found a few that sort of jumped out at me.... First, Chris with a mullet, still looking pretty sexy. Business in the front, and all party in the back. Second, Kaylee slamming down what appears to be a Mountain Dew. Now if these aren't white trash photos, I don't know what is. Does anyone else have pictures like that?

Also, I saw a picture of Kaylee when she was only 9 months old. I couldn't believe how similar her and Crew look! See if you can tell the difference!

And last, but not least... I love roses, and I finally got another rose bush at this house. This was one of the first roses that bloomed. It's sooo pretty! And it's right in the front yard for everyone to see!

A New Commitment

Tomorrow will be exactly 4 weeks since Crew was born... wow, time flies! So it's time to get serious! I am starting Weight Watchers and a strict schedule of workouts. I need to lose about 35 pounds to get down to a nice fighting weight! I think Becca is going to join me in my Weight Watchers diet for some added moral support. (I know we can do it Becca!) WILL POWER! I am going to be commited to losing this weight and making sure I feel comfortable in my body. I am doing this not just for me, but also for Chris and my kids. I want to be around for a long time and be able to participate in activities and not let my weight interfere. Wish me luck everyone... or whoever reads this (probably only Becca!LOL)

Project Landscape

I'm sure it's not what's on everyone elses list of exciting news, but you know when you start a project from scratch you tend to be particularly proud of your work. Well, Chris and I are extremely happy at the job we have done on our landscaping. Not only did we save tons of money by doing the project 100% ourselves, but we also made it completely custom. We also learned ALOT along the way.. LOL. Here are a few pics of our progress on the yard.. The first picture is far into the process already. Here we are laying our sprinkler line for the grass. As you can see we have already planted our trees (which are dead in this picture thanks to the Frost damage we had). Also Chris has already extended our patio and made an additional patio on the bottom right hand corner of the photo where our fountain is going to go. We are not 100% done with the backyard yet, we still have to put the fountain in the base and seal it up, run electric to it and viola! We'll be done with our little paradise. Here is a pic of Kaylee in our front yard with the custom wall Chris made and our trees in already.. thanks to Alan's hard work as well, these huge palm trees were put in our front yard. Also, we owe alot to our neighbor Chad for helping almost every time we were outside. The front yard is done completely and we couldn't be happier. We decided to go with a tropical theme, and the rock that we put into the front yard is so small it looks like sand from a distance. Our neighbors quickly called it the "Tropical Paradise." And that makes us so happy that others appreciate our hard work. (Seeing as they were probably sick of us working on it for so long.. it took almost 4 months.. but hey.. it's nice!) One of our neighbors liked it so much he is copying our wall that we built, and a few of our other ideas. It makes you feel good to know that you inspire people with your hard work. Well, here is a picture of the front yard finished.. it's bright outside so it might be hard to see all the details. Here is a picture of what the backyard looks like right now too..

As you can see we ended up replacing almost all of our trees that died during the frost damage. Here is a close up of the patio where we are not done building the fountain base.. but it will be done shortly.. We are extremely excited for everyone to come over and enjoy the final product. We are going to have a celebratory BBQ for the big occasion. Another cool thing.. we started our own little garden. We have three tomatoe plants and they are growing so fast! Here's some pictures..
