So Chris and I just spent two hours at our rental property picking enough weeds to fill a whole trash can (the one that goes on the street). And to top it off, that was just the front yard! We're going to let the tenant take care of the back. Does anyone know what to do to make it so the weeds don't come back? Or at least something easier than picking them all? Prefferably something that is not going to make us go broke either... any advice out there?

We use Round-up at the first sign of green. We only ended up using it a few times last year. It's the best - all the other brands don't do what Round up does. It's not too expensive if you think about not having to pick all the weeds.
Yeah...just lock Chris in the backyard to "pass a little gas" and that ought to create a hiroshima affect.....although it might make it a little difficult to grow anything there for like the next 20 years or something. You're just going to have to weight the benefits. (just watch out for the pink cloud)
Stephanie is right. I spent so much time picking them myself and they would come back a week later. Its insane. So then I moved the rocks and put this layer of black weed preventer film down and put the rocks back on top and still tons of weeds. So then we bought round up and it totally works. They have stuff for one year and its true you see nothing for a year. Its only 13 bucks
